Can someone please remind me what the end goal is???

1600 meter swim at the gym while waiting for the light, then 7 slow miles on the JRP, nice morning, a little warmer than yesterday but still pleasant.

7 miles in 57:58 8:17 avg pace

I had every intention of running a short lunch run today, but when lunch time came around I just felt Blah! and didn't think running would accomplish much of anything, so I went to the shoe store and looked at new running shoes.  There are about 3 different ones I would love to try but can't afford $100 a pop.

I know that feeling. Don't worry about it, just move on to the rest of your day.

the end goal is...? that's an excellent question.

i agree with jeff -- don't worry too much about the lunch run. no harm in giving your body some rest if it's asking for it.

Thanks guys, I have a pretty big mileage day tomorrow. I figured it would be better to be fresh for that than beat myself up today.

Have you recovered from Saturday Allie? I think I'm going to start doing downhill sprints once a week just so I don't have to go through that again.

i have been able to run the past two days, but it has been painfully slow. i'm still sore. i'm seriously slogging through 9:00 miles. i'm not sure the extreme downhill is worth it...:)
