4 mile early morning walk with my dog, my knee was bugging me a bit so I decided to just walk. Very nice morning.

A couple thoughts about the Olympics,

1. I think to call Micheal Phelps the greatest Olympian of all time just because he has more metals than anyone else is dumb.  He just happens to be in a sport that gives out more metals than any other sport.  If they can have the Backstroke, Breaststroke, Freestyle, and Butterfly in all the same distances they should have, Running, Skipping, Hopping, Lunge walking and Running backwards all in the 100M track event.  To say he is the greatest Olympic swimmer would be more accurate.

2. If equestrian is an Olympic sport then so should Frisbee Dogs, and Obsticle course dogs.

I just bought this bike, It has the new DI2 electronic shifting, I should get it this week and I'm so excited I can hardly stand it.  I may just turn into a cyclist full time and start running as a recovery.

Totally agree with #1.

#2 - FRISBEE DOGS!!!!

Sweet new bike.

Agree on both points.

Its so hard to say who is the greatest olympian ever. Impossible to compare across sports. Good for TV discussion I think... but most senisble people realize its just a nonsense discussion.

Frisbee dogs would be a great event. Always my favorite thing to watch when I lived in Vail for the Teva Mountain Games!!!

Sweet ride!

My dog is a Border Collie, I had big plans for her to be a frisbee dog but I'm a bad dog owner and can't even get her to bring the ball back. Poor Nellie.

One other thing I'm annoyed about and maybe you know the answer Jake or Andrea. Why is it that Meb qualified for the Olympic Marathon wearing those stupid ugly Sketcher shoes, yet Sketcher has a dumb little dog as their spokesman instead of the 3rd fastest American marathoner.

For the same reason we can't see live track on tv, but you can watch every minute of Bulgaria vs Istanbul water polo... Americans just don't care about running. Phelps gets a gold medal every time he steps in a puddle. Rupp doesn't even get a mention on Espn. It's sad b/ c there are tons of ppl who participate in running, but not many pay attention to the top level of the sport.

That is weird, no one swims yet its the most popular Olympic sport for some reason.

You would think Sketchers would be so excited someone was actually going to wear their shoes in the Olympics they wouldn't stop talking about it.

haha i know.

plus, they could just put some bubbles in the pool and you wouldnt know if you were watching real people or just bubbles.

maybe if they add a 100m backwards run and 100m handstand and 100m cartwheel to track, it will get on TV more.

I was thinking the exact same thing about the swimming/phelps thing.

And I'm excited for your bike, but don't try to steal my husband for early mornings, those are mine ;)

I did think about that Carina, it's quite the dilemma.

ahhh, the temptress that is called cycling! You'll love it at first (until I get to reading about your crash, which is why I'm commenting a week late anyway), but then you'll crave that run. Trust me. That craving for running never goes away!
