Well that sucked, 5 minutes after passing Carina and her running group and making fun of her socks I wrecked my new bike, and me too. I hit an uneven patch of asphalt where they were re-paving, blew a tire and wrecked pretty hard. Then I had to get yelled at by my wife for wrecking my new bike. Not a good day.

That's a bad day: the bike, the wounds, and then the wife - don't know which is the worst.

Hope you're okay and that the bike can be fixed. The wife'll come round.

That'll teach you to make fun of my socks ;) No, really I'm sorry, that stinks. I almost killed myself running on that road on Wednesday. All the construction around here bites, it interferes with everything!!!! Glad you weren't hurt too bad, and you needed to break in the new bike anyway with a few scratches right?

Bummer Rob. Hope you're ok.

Oh crap...the bike too? So, now that it is Monday do you know the $ damage to the new wheels? Sometimes I wish I had insurance on mine, I'd worry less about wrecking it. Do they even have bike insurance?!? Your rates increase with a lowered IQ :)

Bam, the wife was the worst...that is all I will say/admit about that :)

Glad that you at least felt like you could tackle the elliptical today. What is the body damage? Anything that seems long lasting?

From Rob on Mon, Aug 13, 2012 at 15:26:15 from 72.254.25.55

I'm just scraped up and really sore, so far the money damage to the bike is $250.

well, for as nice of a bike as you have that isn't too bad. But, I bet you're still paying for it with the wife, huh? :)
