2 small loops and 1 big loop around Disneyland park this morning.  Tomorrow I will need to run out to the trail instead, the Disney loop seems to take forever.

My fast long run on Saturday seemed to beat me up a bit, my hip was complaining this morning.

Ran along the Santa Ana River trail this morning, formally known as the Bunny trail, now known as the Bug/Possum/Racoon trail.  I wanted to get a longer run in today but had an early work start so I was cut short.  At the 6 mile turn around I noticed I was behind schedule so I did a bit of a 6 mile Tempo run back to the hotel.  Averaged around 6:40 pace going back, which is very fast for me lately.  Everything felt really good this morning, when I got back to the hotel I had a sweat mark on my shirt that looked just like Mickey Mouse, my wife found that amusing.

Perfect morning for a run, Anaheim has by far the best morning temps for a run every day no matter what time of year.

I like the River Trail better than loops around Disney but the bug factor turned me away today.  2 big loops + 1 small loop for a total of 8.5.  Lots of runners out today, you can tell when a Google conference is happening, that is one fit company.  I bet they have fitness day once a week.  They had a 5K for Google employees this morning but I wasn't invited cause I have to work :(

OK, now I'm at a computer.

I had so much fun on this run 10 days ago I decided to do it again, I even convinced Ryan it was a fun run (Sucker)  Even though I drove all the way home from Disneyland yesterday I decided today was my do or die day, 2 weeks until my race and I needed to get one more long run in.  Ryan didn't want to start until 5:00 this morning, and he didn't want to run a full 30+ miles either so I started at 4:15 from my house, ran 4 miles to his and was early so I ran another 1 while waiting until 5:00.

Ran up Timpanogos highway, up American Fork Canyon and this time went all the way up to Tibble Fork Resevoir.  Ton's of runners out today, and an absolutely perfect morning for running, I was a bit worried it would be to hot but clouds kept it perfect the whole run.  We ran back down, I dropped Ryan off at Smiths and then ran the 4 miles home alone.  When I got to the Elementary school by my house my wife was playing a game of soccer so I stopped there but my watch said only 32.5 miles.  I really wanted 35 for some reason so I took off my shoes and socks and just ran around the freshly watered soccer field barefoot for 2.5 miles until my Garmin said 35 miles.

I'm amazed how good I felt all morning, I kept commenting to Ryan how good I felt and figured I would eventually crash but I never did for some reason.

35 miles in 4:50:13 8:17 average pace.  I told Ryan I wanted to average between 8:30 and 8:45 but he would never allow for that.

Awesome run, I'm pretty excited that I somehow got this far along in my training for the Big Horn with all the set backs I've had this year.  For the next 2 weeks I can't do anything to get in better shape, only things to get slower, so I'm going to take it pretty easy and get the bike out more.
