5:00 pretty rough start this morning, wouldn't say I feel sick, just icky.  Stomach issues, dizzyness, and a bit soar from the higher mileage this week.  After 4 miles I was about to count my looses and call it quits.  Stopped the treadmill and went and walked around, did some stretches and drank some water then I went back to the TM.  Felt considerably better after the 5 minute break but never totally comfortable.

I need to try and fix my diet, I do pretty good in the mornings but by early afternoon I become a ravenous monster, my kids have to hide the cookies from me.  :)  I think the number one thing that keeps average runners from improving is diet, if you try and get in a good run to improve performance and whatever you had for dinner last night keeps reminding you not to eat so much it pretty much destroys the workout.

I struggle from time to time with diet. I eat really super healthy for the most part. But sometimes I get raging appetite and I eat all the wrong things.

Like this morning for example, I ate 2 chocolate dunford donuts and a glass of chocolate milk. Probably not the best breakfast.

I have found that when I increase my protein, eat complex carbs and healthy fats, I am totally good to go and I seem to have endless energy. I also really believe in eating every 3 hours on the dot. I never get bingey when I do that.

Wow Lily! Your way more scientific about it than I am. I just eat what ever is available at an amount that I feel wont make me sick tomorrow. And if the kids don't hide the cookies good enough I eat them too.

I am scientific about it that's for sure :) I have played around with diet so much. I feel like I know the in's and out really well.

It really struck me when I watched a video about how diet trumps exercise any day for active weight lose. It was this one: http://www.hulu.com/watch/63726/nova-marathon-challenge?c=2136%3A2299&from=fb_share
