7.5 miles on still sore legs today in 1 hour.  Followed by 20 minutes of weights, followed by sitting in the hot tub.

I added a fat picture, I need to do it every once in a while to remind me why I started running.  I'm not the guy who was on the high school track team, or wrestling team and then just let myself go after I got married.  I was always on the chubby side, I was a fat kid, fat all through high school, never played any team sports although I did bike and snowboard.   So I think the fact that I didn't get into shape until my 30's is almost more amazing.  I'm pretty upset that I have let myself go this year, I'm still nowhere near where I used to be, but I really need to get motivated again.

I like the new picture. Does it reflect your goals for the next racing season?

Yep, I wanna run the entire length of that big wall behind me!

I'm pretty sure there is actually a Great Wall Marathon.

Finishing a workout with the hot tub sounds perfect. I need to start doing that.

I really like your story. I too was a fat kid and almost didn't pass 9th grade because I STRUGGLED to complete the 13 min mile requirement. You have definitely come a long way and I think your being a bit too hard on yourself. The fact that you easily ran a 3:05 marathon over the weekend proves that you are still in pretty dang good shape!

I have to be hard on myself.

The extra weight pulled me down the hill faster :)
