2 loops around Stanford this morning cause I thought I was in a hurry, but when I got to the conference space we are working at the doors were all locked up anyway, I hate it when I waste time not running.

I had a job interview yesterday, I'm guessing they will offer me a job since they took me out to dinner after the interviews.  I'm also guessing I wont take it unless they offer me a rediculous amount of money.

If your ridiculous amount of money doesn't come through and they're looking for a good network engineer my husband would probably take a much smaller ridiculous amount of money! :)

I thought your husband liked his job. I'm looking for a network engineer.

Rob, he loves to hate his job :) He is constantly looking for something better. Oracle screws him over at every turn and he gets tired of it, but the pay (well, with OT and on-call)/benefits and job security usually keep him there.

"six figures or no deal."

that's the only thing they teach you business school.

From Rob on Tue, Nov 27, 2012 at 17:30:55 from 72.254.86.255

Man I picked the wrong major. I bet the final was really easy.

Did they say anything about a BMW for a signing bonus?

From allie on Tue, Nov 27, 2012 at 17:41:22 from 71.213.51.40

Fill in the blank: "_____figures or _____deal." that is the final, verbatim.

also, they don't teach grammar. or proofreading.

From Rob on Tue, Nov 27, 2012 at 17:45:13 from 72.254.86.255

Man, I really missed the boat on that one. No wonder they keep the business school such a secret. Everyone would want to do it.

Did you get smarter running around Stanford?

Trivia... only one president went to Stanford. Name him.

No googling!

From allie on Tue, Nov 27, 2012 at 17:51:42 from 71.213.51.40

if you are interested, i know of a place that will gives out MBAs for $100,000. no questions asked. no tests taken. all it takes is a simple credit card # and your degree will be faxed over in seconds.

let me know.

From allie on Tue, Nov 27, 2012 at 17:52:08 from 71.213.51.40

see, proofreading. they don't teach you that.

From allie on Tue, Nov 27, 2012 at 17:54:00 from 71.213.51.40

and by "they" i mean the folks over at cirque du soleil and the overly efficient cashier at smith's.

From Rob on Tue, Nov 27, 2012 at 17:57:28 from 72.254.86.255

Rob, no smarter than running around Weber State. But I did tell my kids to start running now so they could get a scholarship to Stanford. What times should they be running to accomplish such a thing?

I used Bing (at a Google conference) to get the answer, I could get in a lot of trouble for doing it but the answer is Hoover.

allie, seriously. A fax machine, who's got one of those? It's obviously a scam.

From allie on Tue, Nov 27, 2012 at 17:57:31 from 71.213.51.40

jimmy carter?

From Rob on Tue, Nov 27, 2012 at 18:11:28 from 72.254.96.10

Jimmy Carter went to Stanford, or Jimmy Carter has a fax machine?

From Rob Murphy on Tue, Nov 27, 2012 at 18:26:13 from 24.10.249.165

Yes, Herbert Hoover. First graduating class.

Jimmy Carter went to the Naval Academy.

I remember in the mid 80s when the company I worked foe got it's first fax machine. We all wasted an entire day faxing stuff and standing next to the machine with our hands on our hips wondering "how does it do that"?

From allie on Tue, Nov 27, 2012 at 18:30:00 from 71.213.51.40

i still don't get how the paper travels through the air and finds its way through all the small wires and then comes out of the machine perfectly smooth.

did you run around the "dish" which just north of campus? gotta say I would go there just for their campus and facilities.

Rob M., Apparently JFK attended Stranford's Business School but withdrew to join the Navy.

From Rob on Tue, Nov 27, 2012 at 19:37:13 from 198.228.216.148

I didn't notice a dish, it was really dark so I stuck to the bike path.

From Fritz on Tue, Nov 27, 2012 at 19:43:40 from 67.177.4.64

It's a great running path in the hills above the campus.

Wow, looks like a great trail, I guess I better take the job so I can come run on it.
