Rob, he loves to hate his job :) He is constantly looking for something better. Oracle screws him over at every turn and he gets tired of it, but the pay (well, with OT and on-call)/benefits and job security usually keep him there.

I remember in the mid 80s when the company I worked foe got it's first fax machine. We all wasted an entire day faxing stuff and standing next to the machine with our hands on our hips wondering "how does it do that"?

i still don't get how the paper travels through the air and finds its way through all the small wires and then comes out of the machine perfectly smooth.

I didn't notice a dish, it was really dark so I stuck to the bike path.
