Good little "workout" this morning.  Everyone was making me feel guilty with their Boston training already so I decided I'd do some 1 mile repeats too.  I was feeling really good this morning after swimming yesterday so what the heck.  6 mile progressive warm up in 42:18, took a quick water break and then 3x1 mile repeats with 1/2 mile jog in between.  First mile in 5:53, would have been faster but the treadmill ramp up took a few extra seconds, second mile in 5:46, last mile in 5:37.  That one hurt a bit, I was going to run a 2 mile cool down but I was too sick after the last mile and stopped.

I was pretty surprised how easy my legs found the pace, and pretty happy I was able to get through all of them, and even happier I was able to get faster each time.

10 miles in 1:07:46, 6:46 avg pace for total run.

Way to go, kinda wish I was running Boston.

Do you have anything planned?

I'm excited, I've never ran a marathon outside of Utah before so Boston seems like a good choice.

I have nothing planned. I have some major anxiety issues around racing that I need to work out!!

Maybe you shouldn't try to beat everyone all the time, then you wouldn't have anxiety :)

I'm really not trying to beat anyone, it's just the pressure I put on myself :/

Nicely done Rob!

Reading through the blogs today I've noticed a common theme. Lots of people claim they were feeling pretty good today. Could it be the lack of guck in the air?
