So, I'm doing a conference for Omniture/Adobe downtown Salt Lake this week.  They have me staying at the Grand America which is really odd since I live 25 miles away but anyway it gave me a good chance to explore this morning.  I've lived in Utah pretty much my whole life but sadly don't know the Salt Lake City area real well, I was a sheltered child :)   Was really glad when I woke up and it wasn't raining or snowing out I really didn't want to run on the stuffy hotel treadmill.

Very Humbling run this morning, it really kicked my butt.  Ran from the hotel to 800 S. Up 800 (killer hill from 10th to 13th) wouldn't even really call that part "running" up Sunny Side around the Zoo and then pretty much followed the D-News marathon path for about 5 miles.  It made me have second thoughts about running D-News again.  I think that is the hardest 5 miles of the whole race, and just being there again brought dark memories.

All and all a good run, nice morning for a run.  Very slow going, but I probably needed a good change of pace and elevation.

It's good for the soul and the legs Rob! I need to do that route soon. People always tell me how they have done St George and this or that marathon but when someone tells me that they have done D-News they immediately get my attention.

If I'm in town I'm sure I will do D-News again. I did actually like it.
