That Hippie nervous kid is a Multi-Millionaire. He developed the encryption algorithm used by twitter, and sold it to them for an "un-disclosed" amount. Now he rides around the world on a sailboat and speaks at hacker conferences.

Def Con is an annual conference for "good" hackers, ethical hackers. The guys who are trying to stop the bad hackers. This conference in in Vegas every year following "Black Hat" the conference for "bad guy" hackers. I'm pretty sure the same people go to both.
I'm one of the "good" hackers, but compared to those guys I'm not very good at my job.
