This is going to be harder than I thought, more mentally than physically.  Luckily my scenery is going to change a lot over the next month.

Good job, 16 miles and still a great pace!!

good job with the run today, and interesting strategy. hopefully it produces the results that you want. 7:26 is still a very good pace.

I thought you were going to slow down on your runs, Rob. Nice job.

Humm, I thought I was. Now y'all have me worried I'm still going to fast. Guess it's time to throw the HR monitor back on.

Oh, how I long for the day that 7:26 is a SLOW pace. At least come down to 8:20 for your 'slow' to make ME feel better :)

Rob - I think what you are doing will pay some huge dividends for you. If I can offer you any advice, its that when you are ramping up the miles to a much higher level, you gotta just let yourself go slow. I don't even hit 7:30 pace on my easy runs (ask allie and andrea!). Have the confidence to run slow... if you stay consistent and healthy, you will be ridiculously fitter and faster in 2012.

You'll have days when you feel like junk. Just listen to your body when they happen.

Keep it up man!

Wow! The great Jake commented on my blog. I'm honored.

I am very surprised how well my body is holding up so far with the slower pace, last time I was anywhere close to 100mpw I could barely walk but I'm actually feeling quite good. The main problem is finding that much extra time each day.
