Plan was 18 miles today but we have a kids soccer game at 8:00 and 6:30 pace wasn't in the cards, and I got a 5 minutes later than plan start so I had to cut it a bit short.

I decided to follow Jakes training advice and run in different shoes today.  Well there is a reason I only run in the same shoes all the time, cause they work and don't hurt my feet.  It's not like these were brand new shoes, I have over 400 miles in them but they really hurt, I got blisters, I felt like I had mud on my feet the whole run, it pretty much sucked.  So from now on I guess I'll stick to what works, Nike Free's, I've seriously been through so many shoes but I keep going back to the Free's.

My advice wasn't to wear shoes that hurt your feet!

It was to wear multiple pairs that feel good.

If only one pair feels good, go with that :-)

Those were my second most comfortable shoes I own :)

I didn't mean to say you gave me bad advice. I have seriously tried so many shoes and I'm just never happy with them. I even had the great Seth Wold fit me for shoes, and the rest of Salt Lake Running Company laugh at me for saying I ran a marathon in Free's

I used to run in Frees a lot, back in the day. I'm not familiar w/ the current models, but I always thought the ones I had were fantastic.

Some people can wear anything... some people can hardly have more than one option. Its weird how that goes.

That is my biggest complaint with Free's, they keep changing the design, and not for the better. I still have my original Gen1's and love them.
