7 really slow miles on the treadmill, I'm not sure if it was more humid today, or if I just had a bad night sleep but my energy was just sucked dry. The humidity makes you feel like you do at mile 24 of a marathon where you just can't seem to get a hold of your breathing, and you sweat profusely for no apparent reason.

I am so ready to go home. Today is the last day of conference, tomorrow I fly home.

Humidity is just a killer when you are from a high and dry climate.

I'm not sure what it is, it's like you're drowning with every breath.

I hope somehow I'm still getting some benefit out of it, between the km - miles conversions which I'm really bad at while running and the humidity my runs are pretty pathetic.

Oh, hey Jake. Quick question. I know you've only worn your Saucony Peregrines like twice in the snow. But do you love them? Would you love them after 50 miles in the Wyoming BigHorn Mountains?

I have a pair sitting in my Amazon basket but am having a hard time committing. I bought the Altra's last year and have 100 miles on them. 50 of that was in 1 day, I really didn't like them at all.

I actually have close to 300 miles on my pair. They are fantastic... Sort of a more rugged version of the Kinvara. I think they are better than the Kinvara Trail.

If I were to run 50 miles, they'd be my shoe of choice. Unless I went barefoot.

I think humidity is worse. I can go to 8000 feet and feel halfway decent. I go to Tennessee in the summer and want to die at 7:00 pace.
