Time to get my life back!  Starting with my fitness.

For the last 2 1/2 months since I started my new job I have been studying for the CISSP exam. (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) 8 hours a day I've been sitting in an office reading a really big book and drinking lots of soda and eating lots of candy.  Well that part finally paid off, I passed my test yesterday ( a 6 hour long 250 question test) but my fitness has really paid the price.  I'm fat, I'm slow, and it hurts when I get my heartrate too high :0.  Well not for long, this mornings run was great, instead of running really slow listening to audio books I ran fast and listened to really load music.

Goal is to get back to a reasonable weight and fitness level by Christmas and then start thinking about a 2014 marathon.

P.S. Fast is relative!!!

Isn't this about the time of year Santa starts working out?

What is your new job?

From Jake K on Thu, Nov 14, 2013 at 11:40:13 from 199.190.170.29

I'd like to see Santa's biological passport data. Does he even get tested?

I'm working at IMC - research coordinator for their transplant team. Been here about a month now.

Wow, that sounds fancy! (research coordinator for the transplant team),

So does (biological passport data).

Its pretty fancy. I have a desk with a computer and a nametag with my picture on it. They even gave me a stapler, tape, pens, and two colors of highlighters.

Wow, we have the same job.
