I'd forgotten about my Kinvara's, they're my second most comfortable shoes, so I wore them today.

Good news is I can run 5 miles at marathon pace, bad news I can't run 26 miles at marathon pace.  I guess it's good I have 13 weeks to get so.

7 mile warmup in 51:13 7:18 avg pace

5 mile Tempo in 31:52 6:22 avg pace

It actually wasn't horrible, I could have gone further but I wasn't complaining when I was done either.

My wife started her "training" for the BigHorn 30K today.  She texted me her training schedule and I think it could really catch on.

"I'm going to run on hair washing days, and lift on non-washing days"

I love it!!

Great job rob, you are going to love Boston!! I should probably not run on non hair washing day too, that's why my hair looks so greasy every other day!!

Nice run Rob! Just add one mile a week to that tempo and you'll be at 26 before you know it.

Oh my, I love her plan! I feel ya on the MP right now. I did 3 miles just a little faster than MP today and wondered if I'll EVER be able to run that again...13 weeks huh? I'll need it!

Are you going to Boston Rachel?

From RAD on Mon, Jan 14, 2013 at 14:06:44 from 67.171.119.50

Yeah, I don't want to 'race' it, but I'd love to at least BQ at Boston. So, not a lot of high pressure, but harder running that I've been doing for a while.
