5:00 am, Glad today was an easy recovery run, need to get an early start at work today.  All that wind yesterday must have brought in the cold today, it was downright chilly this morning.  Nice extended loop around Disney twice, avg pace a little faster than it should have been but I needed to get moving to warm up.

Hi Rob, I'm new to the Blog.

Wow...I just looked at your personal informaiton. What accomplishment!!!! I've been running about 8 months, looks like I have a long way to go. I run with a heart rate monitor and I've been trying to bring my heart rate down while increasing my speed. It seems like a slow process. At 50 I guess I got started a little late in life. I see you can run a 7:00 pace over 6 miles and keep your heart rate at 145, do you mind me asking how old you are? Not really trying to compare but I am curious and trying to figure out what my goal should be. I may have my hopes way too high.

Preston, Thanks for the feedback. I'm 37 almost 38. I have been following a race schedule that focuses on Heart Rate pretty closely. Lots of people on the blog don't like using HR, the run by feel approach seems to be the most popular method of training. I personally like to be told exactly what to do every day, how fast I should be running, how far I should go and where my heart rate should be. Probably cause I'm still a novice myself with no formal training.
