Humm, strange.  I actually wasn't expecting that.  My HR was 2 -5 bpm higher than 10 days ago when I did that same run.  Splits were almost identical so I'm not sure what's up.  I've kind of felt maybe a slight cold coming on, I hope it's not an issue.

I have been reading a book called Total Heart Rate Training by Joe Friel that sheds some light on situations like this. In short it says don’t get wrapped around the axle if you HR test comes back with some unexpected results. There are to many variables to get accurate information form one test to the next. What you have to pay attention to is the trend over time. That will give you a better since of how you are doing.
